We also held a virtual open house and Q&A on September 30, 2020 for participants to drop by via Zoom and ask any questions they might have to the project team.

Presented by Ellen Larcombe, Community Planner at Campus and Community Planning on the UBC Vancouver campus.

Consultation Purpose

The purpose of this Vancouver Campus Plan amendment was:

  1. To provide consistency with current sustainability and infrastructure policy and practice; and
  2. Change the site use of the Health Sciences Mixed-Use Hub to Academic to address the Faculty of Medicine’s need for additional academic space in the Health Sciences Precinct

The update was tactical in nature given that a comprehensive update of the Vancouver Campus Plan is being planned and expected to begin in January 2022.
