Land Use and Operational Sustainability Committee

The Land Use and Operational Sustainability Committee is a subcommittee of the Board of Governors that meets on an as needed basis. It reports to the Board, normally, through the Property Committee.

UBC Policy UP12 (Previously #92) dictates university land use and sustainability policy, and establishes the Land Use and Operational Sustainability Committee as a subcommittee of the Board, reporting to the Board normally through the Property Committee.

Land use policy may include rules respecting the management, government and control of real property, buildings and structures owned, leased or otherwise held by the University. Other relevant topics may also include respecting development, construction, security, use, occupancy, density, landscaping, noise, nuisance, business control, signage, wayfinding, road functions and standards, fees, charges and other matters.
