Sustainability in building policies and practices has been a priority for UBC for over 20 years. How buildings are designed, constructed and operated has significant impacts on the sustainability of our campus as well as the wellbeing of the people who study, work and live here.

Institutional Building Requirements

To improve clarity particularly for renovations and retrofits, institutional green building requirements have been identified for each tier and are as follows:
