Purpose
The T100 Triathlon is taking place at Jericho Beach Park and will attract thousands of spectators and athletes. This is the first year the event is being held in Canada, but the plan is for it to be an annual event held in August in subsequent years.
The proposed cycling course takes participants along roads on and around campus, which will have a significant impact on the campus community and visitors. For more information about the event including detailed course maps and road closure information please see the event website.

Community Impact
Amateur Event – Sunday, June 15th from 5am to 12:30pm
- Route is out and back along NW/SW Marine Drive on the west side of campus.
- NW/SW Marine Drive fully closed from 16th Avenue to East Mall with no vehicle crossings except at Botanical Garden via Stadium Road.
- No vehicle access to Norman Mackenzie House, Rose Garden Parkade, Cecil Green Park Road, Liu Institute or the Museum of Anthropology.
- Pedestrian movements across Marine Drive will be accommodated at specific locations by traffic control personnel through gaps in cyclists, but delays should be expected as a result of the number of participants.
- Rose Garden Parkade closed until 12:30pm. All visitors to the area will need to use the North Parkade or Fraser Parkade.
- Pick-up / drop-off activity for MoA can take place on Crescent Road and West Mall.
- No parking along NW Marine Drive.
- TransLink bus route 68 will be impacted, check TransLink alerts website for details.
- Emergency vehicles accommodated at all times.
