UBC Triathlon - Duathlon

The UBC Triathlon is taking place on Saturday, March 8^th, with a few road closures taking place around campus for most of the day. 

The following road closure will take place from 4:00am to 4:00pm on the race day:  

• East Mall will be CLOSED from University Blvd to Thunderbird Blvd
• East Mall southbound lanes will be CLOSED from Thunderbird Blvd to W 16th Ave
• W 16th Ave westbound lanes will be CLOSED from East Mall to SW Marine Dr
• SW Marine Dr northbound lanes will be CLOSED from W 16th Ave to Stadium Rd
• SW Marine Dr southbound lanes will be CLOSED from W 16th Ave to Kullahun Dr

Steps are being taken to ensure minimum disruption to the campus community, including:

• Access to and from Hawthorn neighbourhood will be maintained from NW Marine Drive and Agronomy Road. During the race, flaggers will be on site to provide local traffic access to the neighbourhood through Thunderbird Blvd at East Mall. Hawthorn Place will be a designated quiet zone with no water stops or spectators in the area. 
• Access to Hospice via West Mall at Stadium Road will be maintained.
