UBC's Development Handbook sets out land use regulations that apply in neighbourhood development areas (e.g., Wesbrook Place). An amendment is proposed to the Development Handbook to align it with recent changes to the Wesbrook Neighbourhood Plan.

Overview

In accordance with UBC Policy #UP12 (Land Use, Permitting and Sustainability), a proposed amendment to the Development Handbook is being posted here for 30 days for public review and comment prior to presentation to the Board of Governors for approval in June 2020.

The amendment is being proposed to align the Development Handbook with recent changes made to the Wesbrook Neighbourhood Plan. The Wesbrook Neighbourhood Plan amendment, approved by the Board of Governors in April 2020, introduces the option for mid-rise density in undeveloped lots intended for future faculty-staff housing.
